On Monday, October 26, 2015, Western’s Sexual Violence Prevention and Education Committee is pleased to host a forum entitled Consent & Compassion: Preventing and Responding to Sexual Violence at Western.
Dr. Rachel Alicia Griffin, Anti-Gender Violence Advocate and Survivor, will deliver our keynote talk. Rachel will share her story of surviving a sexual assault and how the compassionate response she received from her university made all the difference. On and off-campus support services will also be featured during a panel discussion. This day is about engagement with our community and there will be opportunities to share ideas and strategies with campus peers and colleagues about how we can all work together to end sexual violence.
Students, staff, faculty and community partners are welcome and lunch and refreshments will be provided. Registration is required as seating is limited. Please click here to register.
Information tables are available for community partners (on and off-campus). Please contact email@example.com for more information.
