The SOGS Academic Committee is proud to host the annual Western Research Forum on Friday, March 16, 2018. As a university-wide interdisciplinary conference, we offer all graduate students the opportunity to present their work to researchers from various fields. This year’s theme is “Controversy: Challenging the Boundaries in Research”, featuring research that invites discussion and transcends academic boundaries.
Western’s Shelley McKeller will deliver the keynote presentation at 11 am. Dr. McKeller holds a joint appointment with the Department of History and Department of Surgery, and will speak to the historic development of artificial hearts, including issues that have been raised and are still being debated upon. Our featured graduate student will be Amber White, a PhD student in the Faculty of Education at Western.
Beginning at noon, a free lunch will be provided at the Grad Club, followed by poster presentations in the Physics and Astronomy Atrium from 1:15 – 3pm.
