SOGS is currently looking for a 2019-2020 Graduate Student Peer Advisor for Academic Matters:
The Graduate Student Peer Advisor on Academic Matters is a free and confidential service to help navigate graduate students that may face challenges regarding academics. The advisor will provide suggestions, resources, and support to help navigate the academic issues graduate students may face.
The student advisor will provide a safe, confidential, supportive environment for peers; hence, this is not a professional counselling service nor a service to provide legal advice.
Students that meet with our advisor will be asked to sign a Confidentiality Agreement that explains information during appointments, meetings, and/or online communication will be disclosed only with VP Academic.
*Advisor will be responsible for reporting back to the VP Academic.
Commitment: 1 year (May 2019 to April 2020)
