GRADUATE PEER SUPPORT DROP-INS:
Peer support drop-ins are a service run by the Graduate Peer Support (GPS) Committee. Drop-ins aim to help graduate students address any issues that they are facing by providing them the opportunity to discuss these issues with a trained peer who may be facing some of the same challenges as a graduate student. All conversations at GPS drop-ins are confidential.
GPS committee members are well versed on the different resources provided by the university and can help direct students to the resource best suited for them. GPS members are available to discuss problems such as:
- stress management,
- financial issues,
- isolation within the university community,
- emotional support, and more!
For those seeking further mental health support beyond what GPS drop-ins can provide, services such as EmpowerMe are available. Click HERE for more details on EmpowerMe.
