The Society of Graduate Students (SOGS) operates on a 12-month financial year, commencing on May 1st and ending on April 30th of the following calendar year.


The SOGS and Grad Club budget is created in collaboration with the VP Finance, Finance Manager, and the Grad Club Manager. The budget document must be reviewed and approved by the Finance Committee, which is then forwarded to be approved by SOGS Council at the January Council meeting and again by the general membership a the Annual General Meeting in February. 


At the end of the each fiscal year, SOGS undergoes a third-party financial audit. Details of each year’s audit are reviewed by Council before they are published.
