Bursaries

 

Based on a new university initiative launched in the spring of 2023, an additional $500,000 per year is available to graduate students, on top of the more than $700,000 in existing bursary funding. In total, graduate students at Western have access to more than $1.2 million in bursary funding every year.

 

The Graduate Bursary offers domestic and international graduate students in financial need an opportunity to apply for bursary support using a single application.

 

Students may receive funds from the Graduate Bursary (primarily for professional degree programs), the SOGS Bursary (primarily for Ontario residents, with some funds for international students), or the New Bursary (for all full and part-time graduate students), after their application is successfully assessed and evaluated by Western’s Office of the Registrar.
